Gochar — planets in transit
Gochar is the classical study of where each graha is transiting right now, read against the birth chart's Moon sign rather than against the calendar. Vyoma applies it selectively: which grahas matter, and in which houses, depends on what the moment is being used for.
Counted from the natal Moon, house by house
Where chandra bala counts only the transiting Moon's position, gochar extends the same idea to every graha: for each planet, its current sign is counted from the birth chart's Moon sign (the Chandra lagna) to give a house number from one to twelve, exactly as chandra bala counts the Moon itself. Each graha has its own classical list of houses considered favourable for it in transit, and that list differs from graha to graha — there is no single "good house" that applies across all of them.
A transit that lands in one of a graha's favourable houses can still be cancelled by a second classical check called vedha: each favourable house is paired with a specific "obstruction" house, and if another graha (other than a couple of named exemptions, such as the Sun and Saturn exempting each other) is sitting in that paired house at the same moment, the otherwise-favourable transit is read as blocked rather than favourable.
Because which grahas actually matter depends on what is being undertaken — a journey cares about different transits than a signing or a wedding does — gochar is not folded into the general-purpose score the way chandra bala or tara bala are. Instead it feeds the purpose profiles: a chosen purpose brings in exactly the grahas its own classical tradition associates with that kind of undertaking.
Sun

Saturn's favourable houses from the natal Moon are the third, sixth and eleventh. Its transit through the twelfth, first or second from the natal Moon is the classical basis of sade sati, read separately as an extended three-sign passage rather than a single favourable-house check.
